Over 20 years in the commercial realm have gained Stephen a vast amount of experience in many areas of photography.
Starting out in photojournalism, where he acquired the ability for working under pressure with speed yet capturing the moment.
Moving on to the Department of Tourism as a black and white lab technician/photographer, Stephen developed an edge in b/w printing while sharpening his skills in the craft of photography.
After 6 years, he moved on to open his own commercial photography business. He quickly become known for his fashion and still life abilities. As time progressed he grew into the hotel and resort and corporate arena and has proven to process a natural flair for achieving the demands of his clients
[many being international art directors].
Aside from his technical abilities, Stephen has a commanding strength to work with and direct people, especially children. He seemingly laid back approach to an assignment is soon contrasted by his demanding attention to detail.
Stephen has mastered the use of electronic strobe, being mixed with daylight or incandescent light, which enables him to shoot when light conditions are not favourable.
He uses 35 mm, 2 1/4 x 2 3/4 and 4 x 5 formats.
